Director Sales – Outboard Motors (USA)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop all U.S. sales channels for electric outboard motors, with full responsibility for the dealer business.
- Manage and support the local U.S. sales and sales back office team.
- Maintain and expand existing customer relationships while building new partnerships in key target segments.
- Drive margin optimization and continuously improve pricing strategy in collaboration with global and local teams.
- Maintain and further develop our robust, nationwide dealer network across the United States.
- Represent Torqeedo at key industry trade shows and events; establish strong connections through relevant marine industry associations.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Service and Product Management, both in the U.S. and internationally.
- Work in close alignment with the U.S. sales organization of our majority shareholder to create synergies and mutual growth.
- Report directly to the Global Head of Sales located in Germany and to the President of Torqeedo Inc locally.
Requirements
- Must have a strong background in the marine industry – this is a mandatory requirement.
- Proven leadership experience in sales and dealer management, ideally in the marine, mobility, or renewable technology sectors.
- Solid experience with pricing strategy and margin optimization.
- Proven track record in developing business and revenue growth.
- Excellent network within the marine industry and familiarity with U.S. market dynamics.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Willingness to travel across the U.S. as required.
- Availability to start as soon as possible.
